YouTube and the music world are bracing for a milestone as Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber each race towards their 1 billionth viewing on the viral video website. Yes, that’s billion with a “B,” and it is coming at an alarming rate.
As of the end of February, Gaga has averaged 2.53 million views a day, while Bieber has been averaging an astonishing 3.83 million views per day. To put this into perspective, Kanye West averages less than 200,000 views per day, and the next most viewed video artist is Michael Jackson at 600 million. These two are unstoppable.
At the rate these two are accumulating hits, Gaga will reach the billion mark around the 20th of October, while Bieber will be right behind her, reaching the mark around the beginning of November. Quite possibly though, with the news of this milestone getting publicity, views for the two artists may see a spike with fans trying to help their artist reach this outrageous milestone first.
