I guess the point is that the base service should be free. I don't demand that from Apple but storing 2GB worth of 'my songs' should be free.

Those look really slick, how do you like them so far?
I love them! I've met the couple that makes them and they're all done by hand. Very sturdy and obviously, very beautiful. They look great on a shelf and feel even better in my hand.

Finally!
I was going to spring for the refurb i5 at $1449 but then I saw the late 2009 i7 for $1369 and was wondering which model I should go for.
I'm honestly leaning towards the i7 and have a lot of faith in apple refurb products.
Apple refurbed are the best you can find in most cases.
Apple never puts previously damaged hardware on the refurbed store, only open boxed then returned products, or products at End Of Life (EOL). You will find TONS of the previous models on there for 15% off or more.
Any damaged goods always get parted out and used as Genius Bar parts for repair.
There are TONS of things I don't like about Apple, but they actually do refurbished good very very well.

Uh-oh, if you arent position 1 in front of the Apple Store, then the guy is probably a scalper. I think it's mostly mall employees lined up inside right now. I managed to get in with a hopeful mall employee just before 5am.

But what Apple can do with this technology is give it a thicker, more substantial, more scratch-resistant, possibly more smudge resistant surface on which the user can touch and interact with the UI.
You already don't touch the iPod screen on the current iPod, and they couldn't do that. Why a none-touch ipod means it will scratch less is beyond me.

sounds great. But I assume you don't work from 7 am until 9 pm 3 days per week :p
look. I'm not trying to make excuses. I'm not THAT out of shape. I do bikram yoga 4 times per week and walk a lot. I just can't be as extensive about it as I was in my youthful years. I'm very healthy but I do need to drop 20ish lbs. per doctors orders. I've completely cut out any sugar drinks other than water and a few organic smoothies and an occaional glass of wine here and there. But at my age and with my busy schedule it's just not as easy as it was when I was 25. Not an excuse, just a simple fact.
now what this woman is doing is downright absurd. She is probably not intelligent enough to even completely comprehend the damage she is doing, or just doesn't care, which is worse.
Hey yoga is something I want to add more of. I attended some sessions last year, but I'm looking to try the hot yoga soon. I actually work long hours most days b/n the kids and the business BUT I can take time off during the day to do my thang. I hear ya - just know I'm only trying to motivate :)

I think there's a lot to be said for the amount of thought and strategy that can be put into some aspects of the game. Much like many other video games I don't judge based on the subject matter (unless it's Barbie, Hannah Montana or Justin Bieber related - I'm just so biased) until I know whether or not there is more to the game than that.

Nice idea and interesting. best bet would be a collaboration with Panasonic. After all since Pioneer stopped production of the best flast screen TVs ever and Panasonic employing those engineers who got laid of from Pioneer, their new 2011 panels are simply the best platform for it. if they put it into a Samsung or alike then no thanks. panny s are reasonably priced.
I could see something like that where Apple TV and games are integrated into a high-end set. Would love for someone to own this space and clean up all of these damn black boxes. Of course, they may have to cave in use Blu-Ray somehow.

Add a third option, 24" with a 16:10 ratio and a matte option. Easier on the eyes and more vertical space. The 27" was murder on my eyes and I had to sell mine.
I love my 27' so much!! I will buy another hopefully next week, even though I don't need it.

According to this Zune site, MS won't be giving away free music. They might try to convert ACC to WMA but I doubt that'd be legal for their own software (but I am sure 3rd party software already does this). I don't see everyone dumping their iPod for something they'd have to re-buy all their music for.
