Yea see I don't like his campaign. I recently watched an interview and he said he would renegotiate with China about our debt and the lady said you can't just call a nation and do that and Trump said with the right people you can do anything. I laughed so hard at that. China is not just going to cave in to your requests. And also the only thing his "campaign" will run on is the birther issue which will get him nowhere.
Well you kinda can if you know enough of the right people :)
. I just hope the republicans find a good candidate because I really don't want Obama back in office.
I feel similarly but also as if Republicans are like "ok guys, what's the WORST candiate we can think of to put up?" for president as of late. Maybe Sarah Palin got character assassinated (which probably happened some) but even as someone who liked McCain she drove me up the wall with how ditzy she seemingly tried to be.

for a small sum of a $1billion usd, i volunteer to watch over the innocent children and their purchases. I will smack their little fingers with a a bamboo cane. Suddenly this reminds me of that south park episode where they started smacking "add" kids. "sit down and study." i think parents need to get caned then schooled into using parental controls

It will have 100 million transistors on it and it will be manufactured at .09 microns. Also, here is the doozy, it will have 1 mb of L2 on die cache, and it will support 333mhz bus speeds, with the addition of DDR, that is a possible 667mhz bus speeds. By the way, if you were wondering, the Pentium 4 has 42 million transistors.
Now, for the G4: I am not sure how many transistors the G4 has, but I imagine it is way less then 100 million, or even 42 million, considering the P4 came out after the G4. Anyway, the cache on the G4 is higher on the high-end, 2mb of cache. But: the speed: 1.25Ghz? Can that really stand up to a P5 with 333mhz bus, and 3.2Ghz clock speeds? My opinion: most likely not.
Let's be honest, the P4 basically can beat the G4 in most tasks today, so a new faster version of the P4, the P5 can easily beat the G4, most likely in 95-99% of all tasks.
Ok, we have established that the G4 is, well, to slow against the P5, even though we don't know about it yet, I imagine it will be. Well, Apple just pulled the plug on OS 9 for January, what could this mean? I am not sure, only Steve knows. But Apple better come out with something that can at least compete with the Pentium 5, and it better come soon. I would not be surprised if Apple comes out with the G5 in January, just to say they were the first to have a generation 5 possessor, but I could be wrong.
Ok, I made my case, now, what do you guys think? By the way: I got this information about the Pentium 5 from eWeek, so it is reputable.
dumb ass, no theres no P5, P5 wont come out for a LOOOONG Time, PIV is expected to Scale up to 10ghz, this is just an upgraded PIV f00

The microsoft usability tax costs even more, in wasted time and low productivity.
+1 I work fixing windows desktops and servers for a living and companies pay me pretty good to do it.
Not to mention Microsoft doesn't make the hardware, they simply sell the software. There is no such thing as "Apple Tax". If you get a Windows machine that is on par with the quality of a Mac machine then you will pay roughly the same, if not more for your computer.
Mentioning many OS X users use antivirus is useless, as anyone is in the conversation is able to decide not to run antivirus on OS X.
As for greater performance on OS X vs Windows 7 you'd need to compare software on both platforms, but since the best things on OS X don't run on Windows 7, I can't see many comparisons worth wild. (although this is personal, if you want Windows 7 software, go for it!)
I use Maya extensively on both platforms as well as Photoshop and Mac OSX runs them both faster. Photoshops difference isn't very big obviously but Maya is a pretty good difference during render times. Same exact hardware too.

still cheaper than a lot of the competition. before we went to sql 2005 we looked at Oracle. by the time you bought the add on packs it was almost $1 million for our installation. SQL was 1/4 that.
AD might be a bit expensive but the AD forests people created in Windows 2000 can be upgraded every version with minimal issues and it works out of the box. with other products you first have to spend months creating your schema, pray it doesn't break when used with other products and upgrading can be a big PITA. AD is the apple of corporate IT. you don't need a team of geeks toiling away for months to code a ldap schema, it just works out of the box
1. You aren't looking very hard if your choices became MSSQL vs OracleDB.
2. If you spend months creating your LDAP or even AD schema/map, you need to go back to your clients/customer/contractee/er and do some proper planning.
3. AD was quickly dumped by the likes of Wall Street and Cox Industries. AD is a solution, not the Apple of Corporate IT.

I'm embarrassed for him at the moment, for the way he's acting like a spolit 10 year old kid, going on about Obama's birth certificate and college degrees. Has he got nothing better to do?
no, he doesn't. and thankfully it should mean that he'll have no chance of getting anywhere near being President.

Picked up the Keystation 49e from the apple store the other day. Best midi keyboard for its price/size, atleast that I've seen. Anyway, now that I can carry my Powerbook anywhere I want, Im looking for a way to carry my keyboard. Don't wanna travel with a towel wrapped around my Keystation. Any suggestions?

I'm interested in this type of application to help keep track of my kids when they're out and about.
I've found some other great tracking options for the young ones at: http://www.iphoneandkids.com/2010/12/child-tracking-apps-.html

This tech, as it has been said before is nothing new, I remember reading a very inforative article in New Scientist about making the ultimate heat ---> energy chip, and there is an alloy that when heated on one side it creates a strong electric current. I think they planned on putting them in cars, by the engine to power electronics in the car. What is new is the idea of putting it by a computers cpu.

The point of PP seems to be to get rid of the consequences
PP offers a too easy fix to people's indiscretion
Do a basic examination of # of abortions each year vs how many people visit PP each year.
Let's get that ratio first from you. That's not even considering PP doesn't do every single abortion.

If it were genuine White iPhone 4 parts, Apple most likely wants to investigate where they got leaked.

They already do. I've been on Tmo with my iPhone for 3 years now.
Just unlock and go over. Or sit on your hands and wait for official.
I have been with Tmo for almost a year now with a 3GS and have unlimited everything and it works perfectly and much cheaper than ATT... Whats so funny is that Tmo has had a "iPhone" Tech help for 3 years gone now.....

... sooo, a thermocouple (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thermocouple) on a chip? Thermocouples have horrendous efficiency. I don't see how a such a chip in an enclosed environment (like a laptop motherboard) can achieve enough of a thermal gradient to produce enough current to be useful.
I dunno, i'm skeptical.
Skeptical you should be, but these aren't really thermocouples. The same physical principle applies, but thermocouples are really only for temperature measurement. These are thermoelectric coolers. See here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peltier-Seebeck_effect).
If you want to power the temperature change yourself, you need a high current. But if you want to generate electricity from them, then just connect them into a circuit with out any powersupply i.e. stick a fan's power terminals on that, stick one side of the TEC on a hot chip or cup of tea etc. to setup the delta T. (temp difference) then the fan will start spinning!
Dan :-)
While what you're saying is true in principle, I seriously doubt the practicality of what you're suggesting. TECs are moderately efficient at converting electricity into a temperature differential (or being used as a heat pump), but their efficiency in the other mode of operation (Seebeck effect) is very, very low (typ. < 5%). If you take a chip-sized (~ 1 cm^2) TEC, connect it between a hot processor core at 100 C and ambient temperature at 25 C, you will not have enough power to turn a computer fan at any modest speed. Furthermore, even if you could harvest that electricity and store it, the added energy would be less than 0.1% of a typical laptop battery.
If you wanted to use a larger TEC module (say 16 cm^2) on top of the 80 C CPU case, then the added energy would be less than 1%.
Estimates based on info here (http://www.ferrotec.com/technology/thermoelectric/thermalRef13.php).

The Tea Party is the most fascist and dangerous of people on this face of the Earth.. They alone will bring disaster and turmoil to the people of this country. Its bad enough that the conditions of the job market, and economy as a whole are worse off than ever before(Gas rising, food prices going up).. These morons deserve to be put up a wall and shot at.
I thought you felt this way about the Jews... So, who's worse? The tea baggers or the christ killers?
