You don't need Rosetta, iOS is Intel 64 native. You get a copy with Xcode called the Simulator.
Just because iOS can be/has been built for x86 doesn't mean you wouldn't need a Rosetta-like instruction translation layer to run AppStore iOS apps. Those apps are all compiled for Arm6/7. Apple could support some sort of Universal binary in the future, but apps in the AppStore would have to be rebuilt by their creators.

I just seen a T-Mobile commercial where they threw an iPhone 4. :(
Sounds a bit different to the sort of ads T-Mobile has in the UK:

There should be notification of the time limit you have when using the iTunes store app without having to enter your password, but I'm very sure it's not long though... Maybe if he had just an iPod this wouldn't have happened. Too many overly techy kids these days anyway.....

Hey Hey Hey, what gives?:p
Moyank24's vote for me especially hurts me- you cut me deeply :( When people were voting for you and momentum was gaining against you, I made sure to mention that YOU were a cleared Villager in the last game when I was Seer.
NathanMuir, I understand. When I was WW in the game two games back, I think I killed you off. Sorry about that. I guess you carry a grudge, lol!
* Never mind, questions deleted- I just re-read the OP *
Just to be spiteful, I'm going to vote for NathanMuir, simply because he is voting for me. Neener Neener!!
The pain will go away. And I promise that if the seer ever clears you, I won't vote for you.

they don't even mention that it is a WHITE iPhone...
I feel like that is more interesting than the fact that it is a T-mobile phone...

So I can charge more money for 2 platforms! Thats why (I think) the SlingPlayer app will not be universal. If you want to get the iPhone and iPad app it will be $60 instead of $30
And that's exactly why I will buy neither!

well there are two market share stats that are at issue here. one is hardware sales, and one is OS X usage.
i.e. I have a mac mini, but it doesn't have X on it. It runs solely windows 2003 server with a couple of virtual servers on it also running windows 2003. It's dead quiet so i can run it in my room 24/7. so it's a hardware sale, but not using X.
I built a macbook for a client running XP only since that's what is required for work. i think more and more we will see apple hardware being bought for use with windows -- people who like the aesthetics but prefer to continue to use their current software library and/or have work restrictions.
-Wes
This statement worries me, yes a increased market share is good, but in the end I want it to be for the entire platform, the hardware and OS X! I run Parrallels for a few ancient windows only games but even then I somehow feel like Im betraying my decision to use OS X, I just hope leopord is a big success and that more and more cool apps are writen to keep people trying OS X and not windows.
Out of interest, why havn't you tried OS X server? Is there a specific reason you went with Windows 2003 server?

While this is possible I don't think it will be true. Firstly Apple is one to keep to traditions and ever since 2007 the release/announcement a new iphone in june/july and a new ipod range in september. So apple please keep to your traditions of ANNOUNCING a new iphone you don't have to release it till JUly/september but just so the teleco companies can prepare and get a list of people who would like one please announce it at the WWDC :apple::apple::apple::apple::apple::apple::apple::apple::apple::D:D:D:D:cool::cool::D:D:apple::apple :

First of all, I think this should have been released at most a couple months after the introduction of the Mighty Mouse. Taking a year to give it BT capabilities is ridiculous.
And $70 for a ****ing mouse is absurd. Doesn't look like I'll be buying anymore mice from apple.

aswitcher, could you explain a bit more to me what you mean by
"802.11n pending firmware upgrade..." since you're the first to mention this at all? Does anyone know if this new MBP will have 802.11n at all (for the iTV)?

Not sure if anybody's noticed yet, but they've changed the design a bit too. Specifically, the optical drive. Notice how now instead of just being a slot in the front, it seems to have a bit of darker grey plastic around it.
Yeah! I saw that its like a boarder around it.. Me liking it :)

Yeah, "accidentally," sure. The price and the buttons on the app store are clearly labeled. You don't just "accidentally" purchase this. It's only believable if the kid is still an infant and randomly tap on stuff, but 11 year old?
Maybe he was hunting for an Easter Egg.... :)

I wonder why they've moved it to a later date?
I would have to say its because apple was in production fixing the Iphone 4 for 8 months just to get the white one in stores and i would have to say that put them behind on production of a new phone.

Well then...if this is the case, who needs XP or Vista? I may just install Windows RG on my macbook pro when I get it. And yes...we educated Windows RG users use only the best hardware. I'll be waiting for C2D too. :)
For me, it's either Mac OS Windows RG.
For a preview of Windows RG: http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/flash/winrg.php

Can they really make big profit out of this? Amazon I mean, seeing how at least 50 would go to the music companies... it would take thousands of downloads to make a marginal profit. Is something wrong here?

Along with the recent encouraging 3Q 2006 financial results (http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2006/07/20060719164004.shtml) from Apple on Wednesday, independent research firms Gartner and IDC have recently reported on 2Q 2006 market share (http://www.macworld.com/news/2006/07/20/marketshare/index.php) (via MacWorld). Both firms report solid gains from 1 year ago, with IDC reporting a jump from 4.4 to 4.8% U.S. Marketshare and Gartner reporting a jump from 4.3 to 4.6%, making the Mac maker the 4th largest maker of computers behind Dell (32%), HP (18.9%), and Gateway (6.2%).
This is the first reported gains in marketshare for Apple since the Intel transition, as last quarter saw minor losses (http://www.macrumors.com/pages/2006/06/20060601164133.shtml). From last quarter, it appears as though Apple has gained an entire percentage point in market share (up from 3.5-3.6% 1Q 2006).

So many people just love to see every issue from the Apple perspective. There are people who get paid for that. Should not you - as a consumer - care more about the gadget you want than Apple success?
But you're dealing with Apple customers, they sacrifice themselves for the good of the company.
